CITY OVAL NAMING RIGHTS GO TO MARS

The Redan Football Netball Club in conjunction with MARS have announced a partnership whereby the Ballarat City Oval will now be known as The MARS City Oval as part of a sponsorship deal aimed at the continued development of the historic ground's infrastructure.

For over 100 years, the City Oval has showcased some of Ballarat's most significant sporting events. The oval requires an injection of much needed funds to maintain and improve the amenities. The Redan Football Netball Club, the major users of the ground are elated to have MARS as their partner. 

Redan Football Netball Club Board Member Craig Jackson said, 'To have such a  legendary brand as MARS involved with our club is a terrific reflection on what Redan has achieved on and off the field over recent years'. 'We are delighted to be associated with such a winning brand.' It reinforces the commitment of MARS to the local community.

Marketing Manager Angela Burr added.. 'Recently we launched a new advertising campaign for the MARS brand to magnify MARS' legendary taste by associating the brand with a known legend - the instantly recognizable action star Bruce Lee. The MARS brand has enjoyed strong growth this year and we are delighted to have the opportunity to extend the MARS campaign to include the naming rights for the City Oval.'

The naming rights deal will contribute to a range of capital projects such as the up-grading of player change rooms & medical facilities, improved ground lighting, the development of a Netball court, and general ground maintenance and upkeep to be enjoyed by all the ground users who work rest and play!
